I'm an author who wishes he owned a really good camera. I don't alter photos with software like photoshop or anything like that. What you see is what you get.

The new fire pit

Broke in the new fire pit last night. Tried a time exposure to see how that would work. Several tries and this is the best. Eight seconds I believe. It was a lovely night for the fire, My Beloved and a half bottle of wine.

Sons of the Union

My historical knowledge of the Civil War is not up to par with that of North of 50. He said this memorial we stumbled upon on a summers day walk of five alabaster tombstones and two GAR markers is in recognition of the Grand Army of the Republic. They are dedicated to those who served in the Union Army.
