I'm an author who wishes he owned a really good camera. I don't alter photos with software like photoshop or anything like that. What you see is what you get.

A Life to Live

Of life and light with mirthful smiles,
a soul whose eyes have captured heaven's fire.
Now, come with me my boy, our time awaits,
with arms and mind wide open.
We'll travel life's journey on eagle's wings
to touch the sky and sunder heaven's gate.

After the Christmas Season

Propped up against the side of the carport never to be seen. I assume it was to be shown toward the curving road or a forgotten relic from another display.

All Tied Up

My yucca plant did this to itself making a Chinese lantern from its own foliage.

Lazy, hazy

Few days remain that let us catch a sliver of sun on wildflowers. Old Man Winter's a comin'. (From 18+ Acres: I'm sure most of these are tall, rampant weeds but the purple flowers were a pretty shot at the time.)

18+ Acres

Hidden beneath the foliage remains the carnage of a Civil War battlefield.

18+ Acres

I've been away too long. There has been much to do and my website has suffered for it. There is a small plot of land near my home that has been for sale for quite some time. It is 18+ acres. I have always wanted to go down and shoot some photos of the site. It is wooded with a dilapidated house and overgrown woodlands that contain whitetail deer. I will attempt to revisit the site and see how it changes throughout the year, if my crappy little camera still works. It's on its last legs!

The 'outbuilding' on 18+. Perhaps a gathering spot at one time. The only things gathering there now are cobwebs and bugs.

Lighthouse

Just a nice picture from our time in New England several years ago. (I'd take credit for the streak of light across the picture but that was an accident).

I'll Have Another

Apparently this restaurant menu is on the ceiling just in case you need to order from the floor.

The Red Umbrella

A rainy visit to the Riverwalk in San Antonio. Texas never felt so wet. Wish I had my scuba gear with me.

Winter Tracks

A cold and barren winter-scape. Frigid looking. Anyone want to touch their tongue to that metal?
